At Hinds Feet Ministries it is our desire to groom eager readers. The children are encouraged to take books from the Reading Room home over the weekend and exchange them for other grade level material.
Heritage Early Learning Center (HELC) of Hinds Feet Ministries Inc. (HFM) has received donations from the National Reading Campaign of the Liberia Teacher Training Program (LTTP), a USAID sponsored program based in Monrovia. The donation was made by Mrs. Mary Leigh Wilson, Consultant of the Nation- al Reading Campaign, LTTP on February 12, 2014 at the Head Office of HFM on Camp Johnson Road, in Monrovia.
The donations are meant to enhance the student’s ability in reading at the early stages and to create awareness of the National Reading Campaign in Liberia.
Receiving the items were Rev. James Lablah, HFM Executive Director; Mrs. Etmonia King-Kerpen, HELC Educational Consultant; Mrs. Elaine Woart, HELC Principal; and Regisrar, Mrs. Roseline Yormie.
Mrs. Wilson took a tour in the school building and she was impressed with the classroom environment.
When HELC resumes from 2nd semester break, each student will receive a book and a t- shirt.
Meanwhile, HELC has recruited two trained teachers from the Stella Maris Polytechnic in Monrovia to boost her staff.
To God be the glory for allowing us to continue to reach the lost in our communities and to provide employment for 25 individuals.
May you receive His love and peace!
